Influence of straw mulching on soil salinity.

This article investigates the effect of straw mulching on soil salinity. The research was carried out under the conditions of Bukhara region. The results showed that in non-mulched plots, soil salinity increased significantly from July to November, while in straw-mulched plots, salinity levels remained stable or decreased. Straw mulch reduced evaporation and prevented the upward movement of salts to the topsoil.
